Goblins, ghosts and ghouls, oh my! Heron Bay is hosting the 6th annual Goblin Gallop on October 24, 2009. This frighteningly fun race will benefit Henry County's Hands of Hope Clinic, a free medical and dental clinic.
Right now the Atlanta lake community is looking for sponsors. Sponsorship levels vary from the Great Pumpkin, a $2,000 donation, to the Goblin Ghost Runner which is only $20. With so many levels of sponsorship, anyone wanting to help out can do so. Sponsors can turn in their application until September. Even though it is only July, it's never too early to help out.
Heron Bay Golf and Country Club has been hosting the race for the past few years. The South Atlanta community enjoys bringing together the community while raising funds for the Hands of Hope Clinic.
Last year the Goblin Gallop had a whopping 250 participants. The race consists of three races so all ages from babies to grandparents can participate. The three races are: 6K Run, 1 Mile Walk/Run and the "Tot Trot" (for kids under 5).
Everyone attending the race is encouraged to wear their favorite Halloween costume. Therefore, monsters, ballerinas, superheros and princesses all come together and run for a great cause.
Heron Bay wants to make this Goblin Gallop better than ever and with the support of great sponsors they surely will!
